We fully support authors in archiving their work at various stages of the publication process, allowing them to deposit preprints, postprints, and the final published version of their manuscripts in institutional repositories, preprint servers, and other relevant archives.

1. Preprint (Pre-Submission Version)

Authors are encouraged to archive the preprint version of their manuscript—the version before it undergoes peer review—in any repository or preprint server of their choice. Popular options include institutional repositories, general open-access platforms, or subject-specific repositories (e.g., arXiv, SSRN). Sharing preprints can help authors receive feedback and improve their work before formal submission.

• Permitted: Yes, the preprint may be archived at any time.
• Repository Options: Institutional repositories, preprint servers (e.g., arXiv, SSRN), or other relevant platforms.
• Attribution: When depositing the preprint, authors are encouraged to indicate that the manuscript is under consideration by JARPeT, if applicable.

2. Postprint (Accepted Version)

Authors may also archive the postprint version of their manuscript, which is the peer-reviewed, accepted version before typesetting and final formatting. This version can be shared immediately upon acceptance.

• Permitted: Yes, the postprint may be archived upon acceptance.
• Repository Options: Institutional repositories, subject-specific repositories (e.g., PubMed Central), and general repositories.
• Attribution: When depositing the postprint, authors must acknowledge the original acceptance by JARPeT, including a citation as follows:
  • [Author(s) Name(s)], "[Article Title]," Jurnal Andalas: Rekayasa dan Penerapan Teknologi (JARPeT), Vol. [Volume], No. [Issue], Year.

3. Published Version

The final published version (publisher-formatted PDF) can also be archived by authors in any repository, provided that appropriate attribution is given and the content is distributed under the journal’s open-access license.

• Permitted: Yes, the final version may be archived immediately after publication.
• Repository Options: Institutional repositories, research platforms (e.g., ResearchGate, Academia.edu), or any other relevant archive.
• Attribution and Licensing: When archiving the published version, the following citation must be included:

5. Immediate Open Access

As an open-access journal, JARPeT allows for immediate archiving of all manuscript versions upon submission, acceptance, and publication. This policy ensures the widest possible dissemination of research, allowing authors to share their work broadly while retaining rights to use and distribute their content for non-commercial purposes.
